Slashing down the oncoming monsters, I took a breath. After defeating the monsters in Ikebukuro, I traveled to about three more locations and defeated the monsters there.
At every location where they appeared, the police, the Ministry of Monster Control, guild members whose cooperation had been requested, and disciples of Tachibana-Style Swordsmanship were already present before I arrived. Thanks to that, the damage to the citizens and the city was kept to a minimum. It was an enormous help that I could devote myself entirely to defeating the monsters. However…

No matter how many monsters I defeated, I couldn’t reach Suda. I thought that if I stepped out into the open, Suda wouldn’t be able to hold back and would show himself, but no such luck.

“Things are still going well for now, and I don’t feel like I’d lose to monsters of that level… but a major disaster could happen eventually. I need to capture Suda quickly.”

I don’t know how he’s summoning monsters, but if they appear in two locations simultaneously, even I won’t be able to handle it. If that happens, there might be casualties among the civilians. I have to find Suda before that happens. Thinking this, I approached the drone filming from a short distance away and spoke directly into the camera.

“What’s the matter, Suda? Leaving everything to the monsters and that’s it? If this is what you call revenge, your so-called rage isn’t much to speak of after all.”

The comment section is getting nicely rowdy. Normally I wouldn’t want to stir things up like this, but it’s to rub Suda the wrong way. It can’t be helped.
Even though he loves to look down on others, his tolerance for taunting is zero. Right about now, he’s probably grinding his teeth in pure frustration.

“…He took the bait.”

It seems Suda has made his move. He’s such an easy guy to read, which helps. I tapped the URL posted in the comments and accessed D-Tube. There, I found a video titled “Tanaka, I’m Not Running or Hiding.”
When I played it, Suda appeared on screen, veins bulging with fury. He looked a bit more haggard than before. Well, since we parted ways, he had either been under arrest or on the run. Of course he would look worn out.
In the footage, Suda glared fiercely into the camera as he spoke.

『Hey Tanaka, you’ve got quite a mouth on you for a piece of shit. I was thinking of forgiving you if you got down on your knees and begged, but not anymore. You’re the one person I’m going to beat to death.』

“Look who’s talking. As if you ever had any intention of doing that.”

If I ever got on my knees, he would only get more arrogant. Even back when he was the company president, he would often rattle off fake hypotheticals like, “If only you had done such-and-such, I would have forgiven you.”

『Come to “Miharashi Park,” Tanaka. You remember it, don’t you? It’s the park we played at all the time as kids. Come there alone. I’ll settle this once and for all, just like you wanted.』

“Yeah… Understood.”

Having heard Suda’s message, I stopped the video. Miharashi Park, huh? How nostalgic. That’s the park where Suda, Adachi, and I used to play all the time back when we were still in elementary school.

「Suda-kun’s finally resolved himself, huh」
「I’m seeing you in a new light, Sudaaa!」
「Isn’t it probably a trap, though?」

「He’s small-fry level 100 after all lol」
「Btw, where is Miharashi Park?」
「Sounds like there’d be tons of parks with that name」
「Can’t wait to see Suda-kun get beat to a pulp!」

The comment section was getting hyped. It was partly because I egged him on, so I felt bad, but I couldn’t broadcast what came next.

“…I apologize, but I will be ending the stream here. I would also ask that you refrain from trying to guess the meeting location. I will let you know what happens at a later date. Thank you all for coming today.”

「Eh」
「Wait」
「No way!?」
「You’re not gonna show us?」
「Hold on」

Apologizing, I pressed the button to end the stream. If the location of Miharashi Park were discovered, viewers might come to watch in person. If that happened, there was a risk they could be taken hostage or get caught in the crossfire.
The current Suda wouldn’t show mercy even to ordinary civilians, so it was definitely best that no one came. That was my judgment.

“Alright, time to go.”

Summoning the stealth aircraft Tsukikage once more, I headed toward the park designated by Suda.
