“What? I’m the president!?”
Adachi’s unexpected words startled and confused me.
It’s true that I had heard that we might corporatize before. I heard it would be better from a tax standpoint.
I’m not familiar with those things, so I left it up to Adachi and tried not to interfere…… but if I were to become the president, that would be a different story. I couldn’t just shake my head and say, “Yes?”
“I’m not sure what you’re surprised about. There are only two employees at the moment, me and Tanaka. I’m not the one who should be president, am I?”

Throughout school the next day, Nick could not but think about the experience he had the day before. He had just got to learn the kind of life his father had lived. And that his father was an active practitioner of magic. It didn’t even sound realistic in the slightest, but he had gotten first-hand experience and had no choice but to believe that it was the truth. And now, he had been given the learn magic just like his dad did.
The day seemed exceptionally long as he waited long in anticipation for the final bell, that’d signify the end of school for the day. When the bell finally rang, he hurriedly packed up his things and left the classroom. He walked out of school and straight to his old house.
Upon entering the house, he made his way straight to the study, and but the doorknob he had been given on the study door. A slight flash of light came out of the edges of the knob

That was the only thing on his mind as he struggled to make his legs move as fast as they could, as he ran through the hallways of his home. He had heard a very distinct and loud crashing sound from his room, his instincts took over, and the only thing it was telling him was to run, run to the source of the sound which happened to be his parents’ room
Maneuvering through the house which was anything but small, he ran while taking multiple turns and calling out to his parents in this maze of a house that had started to seem bigger.

The night of the meeting with Maki.
I had been invited by Adachi to go to a certain restaurant.
“Yakiniku again, huh? What a lazy guy.”
It was a different restaurant from the one we had been to last time, and it looked like a reasonably priced one.
I wondered if the only choice in Adachi’s mind was yakiniku, or if he thought I was a guy who would be in a good mood if he fed me yakiniku.
…… Well, the second part was definitely true.

Ten years had already passed since the birth of dungeons in the world.
During that time, dungeons had been thoroughly investigated by researchers from all over the world, and the magical elements and awakened people could be explained fairly scientifically.
Even so, however, the key 『dungeon 』 was still largely unexplained.
Where did they come from? What is their purpose?
Were they natural phenomena? Or were they artificially created?
The more one investigates, the more one learns, and that is the biggest mystery of all.
Maki may have solved part of that mystery.
