That was the only thing on his mind as he struggled to make his legs move as fast as they could, as he ran through the hallways of his home. He had heard a very distinct and loud crashing sound from his room, his instincts took over, and the only thing it was telling him was to run, run to the source of the sound which happened to be his parents’ room
Maneuvering through the house which was anything but small, he ran while taking multiple turns and calling out to his parents in this maze of a house that had started to seem bigger.

　I had been invited by Adachi to go to a certain restaurant.
“Yakiniku again, huh? What a lazy guy.”
　It was a different restaurant from the one we had been to last time, and it looked like a reasonably priced one.
　I wondered if the only choice in Adachi’s mind was yakiniku, or if he thought I was a guy who would be in a good mood if he fed me yakiniku.
…… Well, the second part was definitely true.

　Maki operated a panel on the wall, and a mechanical platform appeared in the center of the room that seemed to have a variety of functions. There were several other futuristic devices in this room, the purpose of which was unknown.
　I bet they all cost an eye-popping amount of money.
“Maki-san, you may examine Riri, but please don’t do anything …… violent, okay?”
