This is one of the first times I’m making an announcement post, and I have already said most of what I wanted to say in the TL note of the latest chapter, but I wanted to make a post to really talk about it.
Welcome to the Oracle Cafe was a novel I started translating a while ago, looking for a second novel to translate. Despite me loving the premise of the series, That sentiment wasn’t really shared; maybe it was because releases were slower than when I originally started translating Black guild, or some other reason.
This whole thing coincided with a very down period in my life, followed immediately by a very busy period(Engineering Majors amarite), and I couldn’t translate for a very very long time.

I skillfully moved my fishing rod, putting the hook with the Dungeon Worm into the water.
The bait was fresh, all that was left was to concentrate and wait for a bite.
Monsters are highly cautious, so I’ll wait patiently.
“Oh, I’ve already got one.”
“Eh?”
I was prepared for a long battle, but Dojima-san’s rod was already bending.
This pull is quite strong. It seems something fairly large has hit.
「So fast」
「It’s that easy to catch, huh?」
「It’s pulling so hard lol」
「A normal person’s arm would probably

“Fishing in a dungeon…? Is such a thing possible?”
As I was preparing for fishing, Rin asked, looking puzzled.
Ah, right, normal explorers don’t fish. And few people would intentionally want to fight a monster that’s in the water.
「Indeed, I’ve never seen a dungeon stream where they’re fishing」
「You can’t buy a fishing rod that catches monsters lol」
「Maybe he’ll catch a water dragon or something」
「Fishing is an idea that only comes up if you view the opponent as food lol」
「Monsters are food」
「Um, eating monsters is a lie, right…?」
「First-timer-kun is also confused」
「Well, I also freaked out when I was a first-timer, so it’s understandable lol

After successfully driving away the Fish-men, we proceeded deeper into the dungeon.
There were some flooded sections here and there, but it was helpful that we could advance without having to go through the water.
It’s a hassle to change clothes every time, after all.
However, in return, many monsters appeared.
A variety of monsters attacked us: Kelpies, horses with fish lower bodies; Gigafrogs, giant frogs large enough to swallow a person whole; and aggressive clams that attacked by spraying water, Bakemaguri.
But there were three of us. No matter how many A-rank monsters appeared, we wouldn’t struggle.
“Hmph!”
As Dojima-san swung his fist down, the shell of a Bakemaguri was pulverized. Normally,

『GIIIIII!!』
『GYOOOOOO!!』
As we charged into the horde of Fish-men, they attacked us, letting out high-pitched shrieks.
Looking at them, Dagosuke’s face kept flashing in my mind. No, their faces aren’t that similar, but their overall appearance at first glance is quite alike…
I feel a little guilty, but they’re just normal monsters. I’ll deal with them as usual.
「Fish-men are scary」
「They look pretty strong」
「I think they’re A-rank monsters, right? They’re normally strong」
「Dozens of A-rank monsters, that’s despair-level normally lol」
「My old self would have panicked」
「Indeed lol」
「First-timer here. Why is everyone so calm when there are so many monsters!? It’s dangerous!」
「Eh, there’s still a first-timer?」
「Japanese first-timers… I thought they were extinct
